By approaching each investment opportunity as a true partnership, we strive to ensure employees, management and shareholders all benefit from the continued success of the business.
Our approach to private equity is centered around four key principles:
INVESTMENT
We conduct a detailed due diligence process to find stable, successful businesses in well-established markets. Long story short, we will only invest in a business that: a) we understand; b) has a proven track record; c) is socially responsible; and d) has a strong (and positive) corporate culture.
ALIGNMENT
Through the implementation of employee and management incentive programs, we ensure employees, management and investors all strive towards a common goal. Furthermore, as anchor investor for each portfolio business, our interests are well-aligned with those of co-investors.
ADVISORY
Leveraging extensive entrepreneurship, corporate strategy and financial management experience, we assist clients in the execution of strategic growth initiatives, M&A transactions, divestitures, financings and tax planning.
TRANSPARENCY
We work alongside management on an open and transparent basis to maintain underlying profitability, identify growth opportunities, pursue timely capital investments, streamline internal processes and provide strategic oversight and relationship building opportunities. Furthermore, we provide co-investors with direct insight and transparency around the operational performance, future growth initiatives and risk management strategy of each operating partner.
As a provider of acquisition and growth equity capital, we serve as the anchor investor for each business in our portfolio, supplementing our own funds with capital from a group of likeminded co-investors. Together, we are open to a variety of control positions, including full ownership (100%) to a majority equity investment whereby certain existing shareholders stay on with the company as employees, consultants or as members of the executive management team.
